Our Story
From a basement to the city's church.
In June 1998, Pastor Keenann R. Knox gathered 22 people in his mother's basement with a single conviction: love people, love people.
Twenty-eight years later, that promise stands in a 52,000-square-foot, debt-free facility on Detroit's east side — acquired on faith before the money was ever in hand.
In January 2026 we became Impact City Church. Same heart. Bigger mission. The city's church.

Your Pastors
Pastor Keenann & First Lady Danielle Knox
They started with 22 people in a basement in 1998 — and they're still the ones at the door.
Pastor Knox preaches to activate, not just inform. He'd rather you leave with something you can use Monday morning than something you can only admire on Sunday.
First Lady Danielle leads our women's ministry — GIFT, Growing In Faith Together — with grace and love. She created Speak Life Christian Counseling Services to fulfill the need for counseling services, and she serves in any capacity needed so that ministry can go forth for everyone.
Pastor Keenann and Lady Danielle have three awesome adult children who also serve in various capacities at Impact City Church.
Faith that transforms. People who change. A city that rises.
